- Eagle Eye: Being one of the smalles countries in Europe, Switzerland can easily be covered in a few months - yes, a few months as there is so much to see. Once you start hiking and spend time in small villages, you just can't get away. Travel from west to east and take side trips towards the northern and southern routes. Make sure to spend time in the French, Italian, and German spoken regions of Switzerland.
- Hot Spots: If you don't have a lot of time, start in Geneva and whisk east by train to Montreux. Explore the area around Montreux and then head over the mountains to Interlaken. Enroute, hop off in villages such as Château-d'Oex, Gstaad, Zweisimmen, and Saanen. Once in Interlaken, take day trips into the Bernese Alps and make sure to visit Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn, Grindelwald, Murre, Wengernalp, and other villages in the area.
- The Low-down: Bring a lot of money. Currently the Swiss Franc is strong and everything is expensive. However, money well worth spent!
